We took a daytime tour-bus from Cuzco to Puno. Since service had just been restored a day before, people were still wary of travelling to Puno and thus our bus was almost empty. It was very expensive but we figured the tour would be worth it. Continue reading
We spent 4 days in San Francisco de Quito, which was too much. Quito is a big sprawling city set in a valley at 2850m (9350ft) at the foot of the still active Pichincha volcano.
Our visit to the Galapagos has been amazing and we’re sad that our time is up. This is a place that all four of us hope to come back to someday. Continue reading
It’s only been 4 days and it already feels like we’ve been gone for weeks. We arrived in Guayaquil, Ecuador close to midnight and found that the hotel we’d booked wasn’t even close to our expectations. The city made up for it by regaling us with a park full of prehistoric looking iguanas across the street. Continue reading
